Bespoke Media Walls Lewes

Media Walls Lewes

Bespoke Media Walls & TV Walls in Lewes

A modern media wall in a period Lewes house has to be done carefully, or it looks like something that has been stuck on afterwards.

We design ours to sit with the building rather than against it: panelling that picks up the proportions of the room, mouldings matched to existing joinery, and a finish chosen to suit the age of the house. Everything is built in our Pevensey workshop and fitted by the same team.

We work throughout Lewes and the surrounding villages, including Cliffe, Southover, Kingston, Ringmer, Barcombe and Glynde. In older properties we pay particular attention to how a fire is installed, what it is fixed to and how the wall is ventilated.

  • Panelling designed to suit a period room
  • Mouldings and skirting matched where possible
  • Careful fire installation in older buildings
  • Cables and sockets hidden completely

Built In-House

Every component handmade and sprayed in our Pevensey workshop entirely by us.

Installed & Finished

Carefully packaged and delivered, our team then professionally installs your new media wall.

Options

Every media wall is drawn around your room and built in our own workshop, then hand-sprayed in any colour, including heritage palettes.

Panelled walls with the screen recessed, detailed to suit an older room rather than fight it.

Electric fires built into proper cabinetry, planned carefully around what an older wall can take.

Cupboards and shelving built in either side, scribed to walls and ceilings that are rarely level.

Planning

The two things that make or break a media wall are the height of the screen and how the fire is built in. We settle both before anything is made.

We set the recess around your actual TV and the height you watch from, so the screen sits where it should rather than too high above a fire.

Electric fires all have their own clearance and ventilation requirements. We design to the manufacturer spec for the fire you choose.

Sockets, HDMI runs and ventilation are planned before anything is built, and we work alongside your electrician where one is needed.

Finishes

Every panel and door is made and sprayed in our workshop, so the finish is chosen for your room rather than picked from a supplier’s range.

Flat, fluted, slatted or moulded panelling, chosen to suit the room rather than whatever is currently in fashion.

Hand-sprayed in our own booth in any colour, including Farrow & Ball and Little Greene matches.

Integrated LED lighting behind shelving or around the screen, on its own switch, so the wall works in the evening too.

Specification

No hidden extras and no design fees. This is what every Lewes media wall we build includes.

A free design visit, full survey and a 3D design before you commit to anything, with revisions until it is right.

Solid carcasses, quality soft-close hinges and a hand-sprayed finish in your chosen colour, all made in our workshop.

Installation by the team who built it, scribed to your walls, and a local workshop you can call on afterwards.

Investment

Every media wall is drawn and built to order, so there is no fixed price list. Cost depends on the size of the wall, whether you want a fire, the cabinetry and how much traditional detailing is involved. You get a clear, itemised quote after your free design visit.

FAQs

Do you work on listed and period properties?

Regularly. In a listed or conservation-area home the detailing matters, so we design the panelling and mouldings to suit the room and scribe everything to what is actually there.

Will a media wall look wrong in an older house?

Not if it is designed for the room. The mistake is using a generic slatted panel in a period property. We match proportions, mouldings and colour so it reads as joinery rather than a TV unit.

Can you build an electric fire into it?

Yes, though in older houses we look carefully at what the wall is built from, how the fire is fixed and how it is ventilated before finalising the design.

Will the cables and boxes be hidden?

Completely. Cable runs, sockets and any kit are planned at the design stage so nothing is visible.

How much does a media wall cost in Lewes?

There is no fixed price list, because cost depends on the size, the fire, the cabinetry and the level of detailing. We do a free design visit and give you a clear, itemised quote with no obligation.

Do you make matching furniture for the rest of the room?

Yes. Alcove units, bookcases, display units and under-stairs storage, all made in the same workshop.

Our workshop is in Pevensey and we design, build and fit media walls throughout Lewes and the surrounding villages, including Cliffe, Southover, Ringmer, Barcombe, Glynde, Kingston and Plumpton. The team that builds your media wall is the team that installs it. Not sure if you are in range? Just ask.

We also build media walls in Seaford, Eastbourne and Hastings. See our full range of bespoke media walls across Sussex, or our alcove units and kitchens in Lewes.
