A freestanding wardrobe wastes the space above it, the space beside it and usually the corner it sits in. A fitted wardrobe built to your room does not. We design, build, spray and fit every wardrobe ourselves, floor to ceiling and wall to wall, so there is no dust shelf on top and no dead gap at the end.
Our workshop is in Pevensey, roughly five miles from Eastbourne, so the people who measure your bedroom are the people who build the wardrobe and the people who install it.
Eastbourne bedrooms vary enormously. The Victorian houses around Upperton and Old Town tend to have chimney breasts, deep alcoves and sloping ceilings in the loft rooms. Properties in Meads often have generous proportions worth using fully. The newer homes towards Langney and Sovereign Harbour usually have square rooms that standard wardrobes still manage to waste. All three are straightforward when the wardrobe is made to measure.

Sliding-door wardrobes
Space-saving doors for tighter Eastbourne bedrooms where a hinged door would foul the bed. Available in painted finishes or mirror, running on quality soft-close gear.

Door styles
Shaker, flat panel, in-frame or handleless, in hinged or sliding form. The door is the only part most people see, so it is worth getting right.
Paint & colour
Hand-sprayed in our own booth in any colour, including Farrow & Ball and Little Greene matches. A cured sprayed finish is far tougher than a brushed one and can be refreshed years later.
Handles & ironmongery
Solid handles and quality soft-close hinges and runners as standard. We will happily match ironmongery to something already in the room.

Do you cover the whole of Eastbourne?

Will the wardrobe fit around a chimney breast or sloping ceiling?
Yes, and that is exactly where fitted beats freestanding. Chimney breasts, deep alcoves and the sloping ceilings you get in Eastbourne loft conversions are all designed around and scribed on site, so the wardrobe follows the room rather than fighting it.
Sliding or hinged doors, which is better?
It depends on the room. Hinged doors give you full access to the whole interior and look more traditional, which suits period Eastbourne bedrooms. Sliding doors take no floor space to open, so they win in narrower rooms or where a bed sits close to the wardrobe. We will advise honestly at the design visit.
Can you fit out the inside how I want it?
That is the point of bespoke. Hanging rails at single and double height, drawers, shelving, shoe racks, pull-out rails and jewellery trays are all laid out around what you actually own, rather than a standard internal grid.
