Bexhill bedrooms tend to have something most modern houses do not: height. The Edwardian and inter-war building that dominates the town was built with generous ceilings, and a standard wardrobe ignores nearly a metre of it.
Every wardrobe we make is built to measure in our Pevensey workshop, about eight miles along the coast, then hand-sprayed and fitted by the same team. Being close matters during installation, when scribing to an old wall sometimes needs a second visit the same day.
We work across the whole town, from the seafront and the streets around the De La Warr Pavilion to Little Common, Cooden, Sidley and the Old Town. The housing changes character across those areas, but the principle does not: build to the room and you gain storage without losing floor.

Door styles
Shaker, flat panel, in-frame or handleless, in hinged or sliding form. The door is the only part most people see, so it is worth getting right.
Paint & colour
Hand-sprayed in our own booth in any colour, including Farrow & Ball and Little Greene matches. A cured sprayed finish is far tougher than a brushed one and can be refreshed years later.
Handles & ironmongery
Solid handles and quality soft-close hinges and runners as standard. We will happily match ironmongery to something already in the room.

Do you cover all of Bexhill?
Yes, the whole town including Little Common, Cooden, Sidley, Old Town and the seafront. Our workshop is in Pevensey, roughly eight miles west, so Bexhill is properly local to us.
Can you use the full height of an Edwardian bedroom?
That is usually the single biggest gain. Standard wardrobes stop around two metres and leave a dust shelf above. We run cabinetry to the ceiling, normally with a separate upper tier for seasonal storage, which can add a third more capacity in the same footprint.
Sliding or hinged doors?
Hinged doors give full access and suit the period feel of most Bexhill houses. Sliding doors need no floor clearance, so they win in the smaller rear bedrooms. We advise at the design visit rather than selling you one or the other.
Can you fit out the inside how I want it?
Hanging at single and double height, drawers, shelving, shoe racks and pull-out rails are laid out around what you actually own, not a standard internal grid.
