Muddy boots, wet coats, school bags, dog leads. A good boot room takes the daily chaos at the door and gives it all a home. Every Littlejohn Bespoke boot room is designed around your household, with a bench to sit on, cupboards that swallow coats, and drawers and racks for everything else.
We build fitted boot rooms, and freestanding bootroom benches and cupboards where a full fit-out is not needed. Everything is made from moisture-resistant materials, hand-sprayed in our Pevensey workshop with a hard-wearing finish, and fitted by us.

Boot room questions, answered
What should a boot room include?
A bench you can actually sit on, coat storage per person, somewhere for wet boots that is not the floor, and drawers or baskets for the small stuff. Dog beds, school bag shelves and charging drawers come up often too. We design around your household.
How much does a bespoke boot room cost?
As a guide, our freestanding boot room benches and cupboards typically start from around £[X,XXX], and fitted boot rooms most often fall between £[X,XXX] and £[X,XXX]. Every job is quoted properly after the design stage.
We do not have a boot room. Can you still help?
Yes. Most of the boot rooms we build are actually hallways, porches and utility corners, and the space under the stairs often joins in. If you have a couple of metres of wall, we can usually make it work hard.
Will it cope with wet coats and muddy boots?
Yes. We use moisture-resistant materials and a hard-wearing sprayed finish that wipes clean, with solid oak seats and shelves where you want warmth. It is built for daily use, not just the photograph.
Fitted or freestanding?
Both. Fitted uses every inch and looks original to the house. Freestanding benches and cupboards can move with you. We make both in the same workshop, finished the same way.
What else do you make?
We make bespoke kitchens, fitted wardrobes, alcove units, under-stair storage and other bespoke furniture, all made in our Pevensey workshop.

Our workshop is in Pevensey, near Eastbourne, and we design, build and fit boot rooms right across East and West Sussex, including Eastbourne, Hastings, Bexhill-on-Sea, Hailsham, Seaford and Lewes.
