Lewes is a difficult town to put a standard kitchen into, and that is meant as a compliment. Listed frontages, timber framing, cellars, split levels and rooms that have been reconfigured several times over three centuries mean almost nothing in a Lewes house is a standard size.
Every kitchen we make is drawn around the room it is going into and built from scratch in our workshop in Pevensey, then hand-sprayed and fitted by the same team. That approach suits period property far better than modular cabinetry, because we can work to the building rather than asking the building to accommodate a catalogue.
We work throughout Lewes and the surrounding villages, including Cliffe, Southover, Kingston, Ringmer, Barcombe and Glynde. If your house is listed or in the conservation area, we are used to working sympathetically with what is already there, including reusing or matching existing detail where it makes sense.

Materials
Worktops, timbers and finishes
Everything is specified with you at the design stage, and we will happily bring samples to your Lewes home so you can see finishes in your own light rather than under showroom spotlights.
Worktops
Quartz, granite, solid timber, Corian and laminate, templated and fitted by specialists we have used for years. We will talk you through how each one behaves in daily use, including the ones we would steer you away from.
Timbers & carcasses
Solid tulipwood and oak for doors and frames, with strong moisture-resistant carcasses rather than thin chipboard. Drawer boxes are dovetailed and run on soft-close runners as standard.
Paint & finishes
Hand-sprayed in our own spray booth in any colour, including Farrow & Ball and Little Greene matches. A properly cured sprayed finish is far tougher than a brushed or wrapped one and can be refreshed years later.
