Bespoke Fitted Furniture in London

Fitted Furniture London

Handmade Fitted Furniture for London Homes

We are a furniture workshop in Sussex that regularly works in London. Recent projects include a full bedroom in a Wimbledon apartment and seven sets of joinery across five bedrooms in Virginia Water, both designed, made and sprayed at the workshop and then fitted on site.

Building off site is an advantage in a London home. The noise, dust and spraying all happen in Sussex, and the installation itself is measured in days rather than weeks, which matters in a flat, a terrace or anywhere with restricted access and parking.

  • Designed, made and spray-finished before anything arrives
  • Installed by the same team that built it
  • Used to flats, restricted access and period London houses
  • Free design visit and a 3D drawing before you commit

Why Littlejohn

On the tools

Sam Littlejohn is time-served, with City & Guilds Level 1, 2 and 3, all passed with distinction.

Made by us

Every carcass, door and drawer is built and hand-sprayed in our own Pevensey workshop. Never flat-pack, never subcontracted.

Independent maker

A proper Sussex workshop, designing, building and fitting every project under one roof.

Design first

A home visit and a full 3D design before you commit to anything.

How It Works

Free Home Visit

We come to you anywhere in Sussex, measure up, talk through your ideas, no obligation.

3D Design

See your project in photorealistic 3D before a single piece of wood is cut.

Built In-House

Every component handmade and sprayed in our Pevensey workshop entirely by us.

Installed & Finished

Carefully packaged and delivered, our team then professionally installs your new furniture.

Options

Everything below is made to measure in our workshop and finished before it reaches your home.

Alcove cupboards, shelving and bookcases built around chimney breasts, scribed to walls that are rarely straight in a Victorian terrace.

Storage built into the awkward void under the stairs: drawers, pull-outs, cupboards and shoe storage rather than a wasted cupboard.

Fitted wardrobes, dressing rooms and media walls, built floor to ceiling to use the full height of a London room.

How it works

Working at distance only succeeds if the survey and the drawings are right, so that is where the time goes.

We visit, measure properly and produce a 3D design, so what gets built matches the room rather than an assumption.

Everything is made and hand-sprayed at the workshop in Sussex, so the mess and the curing time happen there, not in your home.

Installation is planned around access, parking and lift restrictions, and is usually a matter of days on site.

Materials

Every piece is made from proper materials and finished in our own spray room.

Solid oak, ash, beech and tulipwood, with moisture-resistant carcasses rather than thin chipboard.

Hand-sprayed in any colour, including Farrow & Ball and Little Greene matches, or left as natural timber.

Solid handles, soft-close hinges and runners, chosen to suit the room rather than whatever is cheapest.

Specification

No hidden extras and no design fees. This is what every project includes as standard.

A free design visit, full survey and a 3D design before you commit to anything, with revisions until it is right.

Solid carcasses, quality soft-close hinges and a hand-sprayed finish in your chosen colour, all made in our workshop.

Installation by the team who built it, scribed to your walls, and a local workshop you can call on afterwards.

Investment

Every piece is made to measure, so there is no fixed price list. Cost follows the size of the job, the materials and the level of detail. You get a clear, itemised quote after your design visit, and the figure we agree is the figure you pay.

FAQs

Do you really travel to London?

Yes. Recent projects include a bedroom in a Wimbledon apartment and seven sets of joinery across five bedrooms in Virginia Water, Surrey. Both were made at our Sussex workshop and fitted on site.

How does it work if you are based in Sussex?

We survey and design in person, then build and spray everything at the workshop. Only the installation happens in your home, which keeps the disruption short.

Can you work in a flat with restricted access?

Yes, and it is worth raising early. We plan the piece around what can physically get in, including lift sizes, stair turns and parking restrictions, and build in sections where needed.

Do you work with interior designers?

Regularly. The Virginia Water project came through an interior design firm: they created the concept and we carried out the technical design, making, spray finishing and fitting.

How much does it cost?

There is no fixed price list, because cost follows the size of the job, the materials and the detail. We do a design visit and then give you a clear itemised quote with no obligation.

Can I see examples of your work?

Yes. Our portfolio has full project write-ups with photographs of recent work, including London and Surrey projects.

Our workshop is in Pevensey in East Sussex and we take on projects across London and the South East, including recent work in Wimbledon and Virginia Water. See the Wimbledon bedroom and Virginia Water joinery projects, or get in touch.
